Graduation!

Hello you. Yes, you reading this blog right now, i'm talking to you. I just wanted to let you know that i graduated a couple of Friday's ago. My degree is a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies and Theology with a minor in Psychology from Multnomah University (Multnomah Bible College). Other than that Karen and i are doing very well. I am in Colorado right now for my brother's wedding, and she was able to come out here and join me for the first week of it. We biked, hiked, ate, slept, sought God, and enjoyed the blessing of one another. Man alive i LOVE this girl. Now i am just chilling for a few weeks until the wedding, after which i will be returning to Portland, OR for at least a year. Who knows what God has in mind, but Karen has another year of school so that will keep me there for at least that long. Alright, peace out. Summer is here, take a hike...seriously. O, and the top picture is from a thing at school we call Junior Senior Banquet, or JSB. We get all dressed up, dine, and dance. It's pretty freakin' sweet and isn't she GORGEOUS!

Valentines Day

So, i think it was Jesus that wrote the book of love and this page sure was a good one! Karen and i headed up to her house outside Seattle for the Valentines Day weekend (the actual day falling on a Saturday this year). Friday night we met up with her family and played games, ate dinner, and just kept building those connections. Then on Saturday we had the greatest of times; i got to hang out with her dad just to get to know him more, we had coffee with her mom in the afternoon, and then her and i got away in the night for some 'just us' time. We had dinner atop the Space Needle in the revolving restaurant and it was freakin amazing! A starry night with unmatchable company, and food that is something like the wedding feast of the Lamb I'm sure (actually probably not even close, but it was quite blissful). Afterward we went to the observation deck for a little while, then drove back to her place, snuggled while watching 'Ever After', and then hit the hay. It was quite a little vacation in the middle of the business of schooling, and it really refreshed and renewed our infatuation with one another (though it hadn't really diminished, so i guess we strengthened it then). Alright, much love to you all, peace out!

Family Pictures

Well...i post every couple of months...and i always have pictures cause if i know 2,439,567 things this is one of them- i don't really read blogposts that don't have pictures. So here we are, Christmas time, and my family is here and Karen was for 5 days, yet now is gone again. Christmas break 2008. I love family, i love friends, i enjoy resting though at times i get bored and don't know why. My goal is to read the Count of Monte Cristo, sleep well, eat tons, work out less than tons, and get my bearings going into my last semester of University. God bless and may joy and peace be multiplied to your hearts.

Some of Those Spring Break Photos I Promised

There are two of Yosemite, and 1 from San Fran...The other ones were acting up like a 3 year old hyped up on candy canes and eggnog on Christmas Eve, but i will try and post more soon. It was a most beautiful time. Top picture from left to right is Justin, Jared, Chelsea, Me, Wesley, Heather, Desiree, and Kyle.

Um....It's a Girl

No No, don't worry....i'm not pregnant. But the Lord did have a good time cooking this one up: i'm officially in a dating relationship with Ms. Karen Williams. She is utterly amazing and i am helplessly in like with her. The Lord really did set this one up...ask me about it sometime and i'll light up like the Times' Square Christmas tree. Hallelujah and amen o Gracious Father!

High School Days

You know those times in life that just bless you so much you carry them wherever you go. Those Capernwray times, those family dinner times, those times with friends and family that overwhelm you with the goodness of God's love in and through people. Well, these are some pictures of those times, and those people, who God blessed me with so many years ago. And still, by His grace, most of those friends remain intact. May he bless you now with the memory of those times and those people. Be encouraged, for He loves you always...

JSB

We have this thing at school called JSB, the Junior-Senior Banquet. Yes, a small Christian college is much like a high-school, but it is still a great time with friends amen! Anyway, this is me and my most amazing date named Karen. We wined (minus the wine), and dined, and danced the night away. School is over in a week, and Colorado is beckoning me home for the summer time again. They are letting me be director at the YMCA day camp this year around. O how our Lord is faithful amen! Well, blessings upon you all, whoever you might be. Seek Him, for He i IS the richest of fare (Isiah 55).

My First Love: Tennis

So i have played tennis since i was 5 years old. And generally, i have been getting better since then too. Anyway, we had a break in the weather yesterday and decided to play a set. Nothing like getting back out there and swinging away. Revelation 12:11 Amen.

Steal some time and Go OUTSIDE!

In case you didn't get the memo, my first love is Colorado. In case you didn't get the p.s. in that memo, i love Oregon. These picts. were from a lil' while ago, we got out again and saw the fall colors. This is Multnomah falls, then one of the falls past it up the hiking trail. It was a beautiful day full of (from left to right) Jared, Me, Chelsea, Hannah, and Heather (and you can't see them cause they're in our stomachs, but PB&J's.) MMmmmmMMMmmm, a beautiful day. The top picture is mine, the rest are Jared's. He's quite talented.

Falling

So, a couple of weekends ago me and some buddies decided hey, lets look at the glory of God's creation as it is set aflame by the shortening of the daylight which we call the Fall season. So, we went on up to old scenic highway towards Multnomah Falls, and we were not disappointed. Here's just a few shots. Love you all, love is a great thing you know. It makes the scary things of life not so scary anymore. Check out 1st John.

Mountain Climbing

It has been a long time, but i'm not really sure there are laws against such things so i hope you dear friends get to see these shots cause they're amazing. The weekend before we all started school again me and 3 of my closest brothers (Matt Howard in the red, Christopher Vogelgesang in the grey, and Bryon Stark in the black) went on a little hike: a little 7 1/2 hour, 9 or so mile hike up Mt. Beerstead, accross the Sawtooth Ridge, and up Mt. Evans. The two peaks are what we Coloradans refer to as 14er's cause they are over 14,000 ft. in elevation. The morning was beautiful, the afternoon was beautiful, the nap after it was all over was beautiful. God's creation is so one of a kind when we really dig in and decide to experience it. This was one of those experiences, and to share it with brothers was an honor and from the platter of God that is called "The Richest and Greatest Things in Life." Pictures always, cause they add 1,000 words each.
